Stucchi

Founded in 1883 by Augusto Stucchi and Giulio Prinetti under the name Prinetti & Stucchi manufacturing sewing machines, bicycles and motorized vehicles.

Stucchi fielded a professional team that existed on and off between 1909 and 1951.   The team won two editions of the Giro d'Italia, Alfonso Calzolari in 1914 and Costante Girardengo in 1919.

The 1914  Giro is known as one of the most grueling stages races ever held, some of the following stats speak for themselves.. Longest ever average stage length: 396.25km Smallest number of finishers: 8  Highest percentage of retirements: 90%, Lucca-Rome Longest individual stage by time: 19h 34' 47".

Costante Girardengo
Apparently the Stucchi family are now involved with the L'Eroica events in Gaole Tuscanny.
This nicely persevered early 80's Stucchi is as far as I know was part of the last run of serious race bikes to be made under the famous Stucchi name.
